14-18 Jul 2025 Près du lac de Serre-Ponçon (France)

A summer school for critical thinking

The CORTECS is organising l'Ecole douteuse (i.e., the doubtful school), its first self-managed, interdisciplinary summer school open to anyone interested in various aspects of critical thinking.

Do you like to think about critical thinking, take part in a great collective dynamic and chop vegetables while talking about epistemology? Then you'll love the Ecole douteuse!

The idea is to bring together for a week (from July 14th to 18th 2025) in a gîte near the Lac de Serre-Ponçon, around twenty people with a passion for critical thinking, in a friendly, self-managed atmosphere (with communal tasks such as cooking, washing up, technical installation, etc.), sharing, and constant intellectual stimulation!

The days will be organised as follows:

  •     Morning (9am-12pm): classes (3x1h) presented by guest speakers (see program)
  •     Lunch: collective cooking
  •     Afternoon (2pm-5pm): free time + organised activities (philosophy walk, reading, games, etc.)
  •     Late afternoon (5pm-7pm): two presentations (by you!)
  •     Evening (7pm-...): collective meal, free activities
